To all members of the Accordia family,
Our Company was founded on integrity, lawful conduct, and respect for the rule of law. Every shipment we carry and every partnership we form reflect not only our reputation but also our responsibility to safeguard the homeland and the integrity of international trade. This Code of Conduct affirms our absolute commitment to ethical business practices, transparency, and compliance with all applicable U.S. and international regulations governing maritime transport.
Each of you play a vital role in maintaining Accordia’s credibility as a U.S.-licensed Vessel Operating Common Carrier (VOCC). I expect every employee, contractor, and representative to understand and uphold this Code.

1. Purpose and Applicability
This Business Code of Conduct establishes the ethical, operational, and regulatory standards applicable to all employees, contractors, vendors, and representatives of Accordia Shipping LLC (“Accordia”). It serves as the governing framework for how Accordia conducts its operations, manages compliance, and maintains accountability within the maritime and logistics industry.
All employees are required to know, understand, and comply with this Code and all referenced policies herein. Violations may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment and, where applicable, civil or criminal penalties.
2. Ethical and Legal Compliance
Accordia operates in strict adherence to all U.S. and international laws and regulations governing maritime commerce, including but not limited to: FMC, FCPA, OFAC, BIS (EAR), USCG, EPA, and MARPOL. Accordia maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption, bribery, falsification of records, or any activity inconsistent with U.S. or international law.
3. Environmental and Operational Stewardship
As a VOCC engaged in Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) and containerized cargo services, Accordia recognizes its duty to minimize environmental risks associated with vehicle and cargo handling. Employees must adhere to all requirements contained in:
– ACC-PEV-11 Cargo Acceptance Policy – Golden Rules
– Environmental Response SOP (SPCC-equivalent)
All vehicle cargo must be inspected for fuel, oil, or fluid leaks before loading. Accordia strictly prohibits the discharge of pollutants to surface drains, stormwater ponds, or port waterways.

4. Trade Compliance and the Cuba SOP
Accordia conducts lawful voyages to Cuba under BIS License Exception SCP and AVS. Operations must comply with the Accordia Cuba Trade SOP and Checklist, which requires verification through BIS STELA, OFAC screening, and proper licensing. Failure to comply constitutes a material violation.
5. Homeland Security and Supply Chain Protection
Accordia is recognized as a critical participant in the international supply chain. All personnel must comply with local, state and federal requirements (key among them: USCG, USCBP) immediately report any suspicious activity.
6. Health, Safety, and Workplace Conduct
Accordia provides a safe and respectful workplace. Employees shall comply with OSHA safety regulations, operate equipment responsibly, and refrain from harassment or discrimination.
7. Reporting and Whistleblower Protections
Employees who suspect or observe a violation must report it to Legal Affairs or Human Resources. Reports may be made confidentially. Accordia prohibits retaliation against whistleblowers.
8. Disciplinary Action
Violations of this Code may result in disciplinary measures including reprimand, suspension, termination, or referral to authorities.
